Day of Firsts

Today was a great day of firsts as Asher said his first word, "ball" (just like his brother - this was Bridger's first word too). Actually, he said it first on Friday and it isn't so much that he said the word, but made an obvious association between the word, "ball" and an actual ball. At any rate, we're not quite ready to rush to the baby book to record it. The irony is that, unlike Ryan did with Bridger, we haven't really even played ball much with Asher. This led to the other first today when Bridger and Asher played ball together - for the first time. It was so cute. Check it out:

It was also a day of "finally's." Rachel finally picked a color for the kitchen and we finally finished putting it on the wall!

You have a seriously advanced infant there. Is he 9 or 10 mo? Anyways... this is adorable. I love it!

Asher's 9 months and I actually usually get the your-baby-is-slow-and-mine-is-a-genius look from moms since he isn't crawling (due some to his shoulder/neck muscle issues and some to the fact that he just doesn't feel like it yet). So, this is my new answer when I get comments like "you must have held him too much" from mommies--he's just working on his verbal skills!

So cute!! And remember, noah didn't walk until 17 months, so I wouldn't worry too much (not that you are).

sooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooo precious.
and gasp.... people say stuff like that? Josh's brother didn't walk until 22 months and sooo many people told Josh's mom that there was something wrong with him...she said it was really, really annoying.

This is absolutely precious! Your SLP cousin says there is nothing wrong with working on speech skills early.:) Seriously, I would give anything for us to be able to come and all play "ba" together...maybe this summer! Love and hugs to all of you!
