Bridger's new quilt

I finished Bridger's animal quilt this week to his excitement. I've been working on it since before Christmas and it's the first project I've done here in the new house with the two kids. I love having a room set up with all my stuff so I can sew for five minutes if I have it instead of having to set up and tear down each time. However, it is a little harder to carve out time with two little munchkins needing my attention. It was also my first try with machine applique and it was easy and fun so I'll be doing some more of that.

I'm hoping to completely finish the boys room now with some paint and maybe a chair rail if I can get it on Ryan's honey-do list.

That is awesome!! Really. I always wanted to learn how to make a quilt. Sadly, I can't even use a sewing machine. Ellie has been asking me to teach her how to sew, and I think I will have to enroll her in a amp this summer so that she can learn!!
