We decorated the house that day and really felt "Christmasy," though the rest of the family tired of the decorating before it was all finished so I ended up scurrying around until late and then realizing I needed to go to the grocery store at 10pm because we didn't have any food for breakfast. Needless to say, the house looks festive! I actually don't have a picture of the decorated tree, but here's one of the hearth.

Let the festivities begin!

we're waiting for snow ourselves. it looks so pretty! would love to take a walk out there! have a wonderful holiday, sutherlands.
I'm so jealous. You guys have more snow already than we'll see this decade. Sounds like a really fun way to get a tree. Of course, you do miss out on the experience of trying to cross a busy street carrying a tree when you do it your way.
What beautiful stockings Rachel - where in the world did you buy them? :)
The snow looks wonderful. We won't have a tree this year (again) since we'll be in OH and it's one less thing to try to force in these busy weeks. So, our Nativity set is becomming our tradition. I guess that's not too bad.
Love the snow-- we are having 60+ degree weather, so I don't think it will be a white Christmas this year.
Yeah, all our snow is gone now too. I'm hoping for another snowfall before Christmas.
