Here are a few photos from our quite off-white Christmas. Ryan's entire family came in from three states for the occasion and it was great to be able to celebrate in our new home with plenty of room for all the relatives. The grown-ups stayed up late every night playing cards and boy those kids still got us up early! Christmas morning we almost had a casualty as Bridger was so excited he pulled down his stocking and the 10-pound snowflake holder fell smack down on his head. A big bump on the head didn't stop his excitement, though.
One of the hard times this year was going to a random church for Christmas Eve. We went to what we have found to be the best church in town, but they did a really strange service that involved hardly any good Christmas singing. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed, but Christmas was great all-in-all.
This year was another experiment in hanging out with all unbelievers. I joined a mom's club that had a Christmas party with a Santa to give presents. Anyway, we don't do Santa with the kids and so I had to sort of explain that in a way that didn't sound like we were in a cult. I got a bunch of "do you even celebrate Christmas?" even though I said we just wanted to focus on it as Jesus's birth. It's so trial and error trying to figure out how to say things that seemed pretty obvious in our previous life.

We are looking forward to coming this week for another "Christmas" celebration as well as a New Year's celebration.
Tell Bridger and Asher that we are bringing "lotsa" presents!
Love Grandpa Charlie and Grams
