The doctor is IN

So I have to relate this great anecdote from our family life. We had our MP community group here last night and Ryan was telling Bridger that he was going to do some teaching. So, Bridger decided to do some teaching/counseling of his own. When one of our friends arrived, he ushered her downstairs and sat down with his notepad and Bible (of the children's variety). Here's how the conversation went:

[Bridger]: So, have you been having any problems?

[Austen]: Well, our dog keeps running away chasing deer. (such a good sport)

[Bridger]: Hmm, why do you think that is? (crosses his legs)

[Austen]: I'm not sure.

[Bridger]: Well, have you thought about getting her a collar and a leash? That might help. (writing on his notepad)
Have you made any progress on you previous problems?

[Austen]: No, I guess not. (trying hard not to laugh by this point)

[Bridger]: Do you feel you have a mission? (This is what Ryan's talk was on last night so he must have heard him talking about it)

[Austen]: Well, maybe we should go up and eat supper.

[Bridger]: First I need to read you some out of the Bible.

He proceeded to read her the first couple of stories from his children's Bible--Adam and Eve, Noah, etc. and then was finally convinced to come up for dinner.

So, if any of you have any problems you'd like to discuss with our resident preschool pastor, just let us know.

This is hysterical! I love the part when he crosses his legs!

That is great-- it's a cute story, but it is also a great picture of him modeling his dad, especially with reading the Bible stories at the end.

That is *awesome* - it'll be a great story to embarrass Bridger with when he's a teenager!

wonderful story - and PTL that He loves Jesus and knows where to go to help others - the word of God. Blessings on your continued parenting of a precious soul.
