Why don't bicycles have kickstands anymore?
Okay so I've been doing more commuting with my bike and the kids in the trailer. I have one HUGE problem, however, which is that my darn bike falls over all the time. It takes a good 10 minutes to get the kids all set in the trailer all the while I'm trying to keep my bike from falling over on them or on me. Even if I rest it somewhere, the trailer moves a bit and it falls down. When I'm only riding myself, I have to throw the bike down or spend time adjusting and balancing it just right. There is a simple solution to this, however--KICKSTANDS. When did they become uncool? I totally understand that if you're doing competitive biking or mountain biking it might get in the way, but bicycles are being prolifically used by commuters now and what is the harm in a little metal bar on the side?

Yo Rachel - Micah's old bike (which we're parting out) has a kickstand on it, if you're interested...
Thanks, C. Ryan said that in his experience at the bike shop, most bikes can't even have them retrofitted because there's no spot to put them. I'm going to have him check again on my bike.
